Hi, we’re Thomas & Jenny, the makers behind Forth Craft & Designs. When I first dreamed up The Story of Us as an anniversary surprise for Jenny, I wrestled with the idea of sharing our own journey so openly. After all, when your livelihood is crafting personalised gifts, surprising your own partner with something truly unique isn’t easy.
But the moment she saw it, every doubt vanished—and I knew this was more than a gift. It was a way to hold memories in your hands and display on your wall, and after countless comments when she shared it on her own Facebook page, we got a few requests from friends and family wanting one for themselves. That's when I thought I've never seen anyone doing something like this before, perhaps we could put a few smiles on a few more faces with this idea.
The Story of Us turns your real-life journey into a beautiful wooden keepsake—engraved with every laugh, milestone, and quiet triumph. Perfect for anniversaries, weddings, milestone gifts, or even memorial tributes.

How It Works
- Place your order, then check your inbox for the confirmation email from sales@forthcraftanddesigns. It may have went to your junk mail, mark it as not junk. We'll follow this up with a 2nd Email shortly after.
- Fill out our simple questionnaire form with the memories and details you’d like included. The more details, the better your story will be. Don't worry you don't need to be the next JK Rowling for this part.
- We draft your story—using AI to turn your bullet points into heartfelt copy—and send it back for your feedback.
- You approve (or request a few small tweaks).
- The maximum character's we can fit on this board is 3000, which is more than enough for even the most detailed eventful life stories. (ours is 2600)
- We laser-engrave your story, finish the wood, and ship your keepsake.

We use AI to help craft your narrative—transforming your notes into flowing, emotional storytelling—then every word is checked and hand-edited by me to ensure it reads like a memory, not a machine. There's a lot of work goes into this piece before a laser gets switched on or a miter saw meets any wood, so please allow around at least 1 week from placing order to shipping.
